Designed to meet the
requirements of the State of Alaska -
Department of Labor Petroleum Code, as
well as OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146, Final rule
Jan 14, 1993. Includes entry authorization
and supervision; dealing with unauthorized
personnel; rescue teams - inplant and
outside; special permits; minor
maintenance work; entry into diked areas;
respiratory protection and respiratory
fit-test; personal protective clothing and
equipment; gas detection and monitoring;
ventilation; first aid considerations; and
work and isolation techniques for
vessels.
Upon request,
a second
day may be
added for hands-on training
(Confined Space
Rescue). MAPTS,
in cooperation with Nikiski Fire
Department personnel, uses a ECS prop
constructed, erected and donated by
UNOCAL. This prop is staged at our Life
Safety Institute located in Kenai, Alaska
on Marathon Road. This class is priced
very reasonably,call for details.
Students that have
had previous ECS training may enroll for
ECS Rescue training.
